The Annual Awards Ceremony is an occasion for LSG to honour outstanding organizations or individuals who have strived to improve the lives of the disadvantaged sections of society. The Awardee for 2006 was Paripurnata, an organization offering hope to women who have been abandoned by their families, or confined in jails or mental hospitals . Dr Joyce Siromani , instrumental in setting up Paripurnata in 1992 and also the vision and heart behind this organization, received the Award on behalf of Paripurnata. Smt Sheila Dixit, the Chief Minister of Delhi addressed the audience on ‘Government & Citizen Partnership for Progress’ and responded to questions through a video conference from Delhi.
